doggy face-lift. is it bad or fab?

Brizillian vet, Edgado Brito says that "Plastic surgery is good for dogs!". Despite his working in the veterinary field for over 20 years, some question the moral ethic behind canine cutting for human vanity.

Want your dog's ears to look a little more perky? He will fix all your droopy problems with Metracril to straighten those bent ears. Is your little buddy feeling insignificant? How about some testicular implants! Doggy titties hanging low? No need to frown, the good doctor will give your saggy pooch a lift for that sexy toned appearance! Bags under the eyes? Nothing a little botox won't fix! Yes, i'm serious..botox.

But maybe we shouldn't be too hard on the guy, its like he said.. "All that is not symmetric we don't like." So true! Who really likes dogs that look like dogs?

But Brito isn't the only one catching on to the idea, many plastic surgeons today in the US, such as Dr. Alan Schulman ("Veterinarian to the Stars"), often get requests to perform such cosmetic surgeries.

So what is your opinion about animal cosmetic surgery?
Is it cruel?
Is it awesome?
Does it even matter?

Bark at ya Later,
Zoey
